Welcome to ChefSlicer! This is a site to capture my passion for cuisine! I have a fondness for luxurious food...and wine. I come from a family that had a passion for food. On my father’s side, my grandmother owned a restaurant in St. John, NB. As a kid, every summer we would travel to NB and visit grandma for a couple of weeks. Her restaurant could be best described as a small diner/bistro. My memories of the menu includes the BEST chocolate milkshakes and fresh Lobster Rolls. On my mom’s side, her family owned a warehouse at the Ontario Food Terminal. I can tell you that as a kid, we had the best produce and amazing meats. I recall my dad and uncles breaking down sides of cows and my brothers and me wrapping the cuts in freezer paper (there were no FoodSaver sealing devices).
